The owners of an historic Fairfax City home had quite a checklist. They wanted an improved family kitchen, a master bedroom suite, an outdoor living space and an office over their existing garage. This design provided all of that. The existing sunroom was enlarged to form a large family dine-in kitchen. A second story addition provided a new master bedroom suite as well as the office area. All of the renovations encircled the new patio area creating a better transition from indoor to outdoor living spaces.
